Vintage Tin and Cigar Box Dulcimers
My Dulcimer Cigar Box and Vintage Tin Guitars are designed to be played by people of any age and musical ability from the complete novice to the more accomplished musician. Due to the diatonic scale and open tuning (Dad), these instruments are, from the outset, intuitively a joy to play.
As a starting point the Dulcimer can be played using the same technique as The Canjo by simply playing the melody on the bottom string whilst playing the top two strings open resulting in a fuller sound than the Canjo.
