Today, I make musical instruments, signs, home decor, games, model kits, keyrings, and the kind of things that don't have a tidy category name—except that they're all designed and made here in the heart of rural North Yorkshire.

The instruments are still the heart of it. Every canjo, guitar, and ukulele starts with a vintage tin — a biscuit tin, a tobacco tin, a Jack Daniel's tin, an OXO tin — and a neck hand-carved from reclaimed teak, oak, mahogany, or beech. Each one is different, because each tin has its own story and each piece of wood has its own grain.

The sign shop grew out of requests that started arriving almost immediately after the first instruments. Custom wooden signs for homes, hotels, gardens, and businesses. Alongside them: clocks, coat racks, book nooks, model kits, games, and a whole collection customisable items.
